Christian Education -- Growing Together in Christ

Christians are never "done" -- we're always thinking, praying and working to grow in our faith and understanding. Here are some of the ways the people of Good Shepherd work together to grow as Christians.

Godly Play

This dynamic, play-centered curriculum for ages 2 through 11 uses Montessori-based teaching methods to introduce children to the stories of the Christian experience. Gifted, caring teachers have invested dozens of hours in training to use this innovative curriculum, which truly reaches our youngest members.

Youth With Purpose

As Godly Play reaches young children with stories and play, Youth With Purpose connects with young people age 12-18 with a dynamic curriculum that builds on their growing understanding of themselves and the world. Several dedicated members of the parish take turns leading this energetic group in explorations of everything from money to missionary work to comparisons of Episcopal beliefs with those of our brothers and sisters of other faiths.

Good Shepherd and the World

A living church reaches out to the world -- and invites the world in. Good Shepherd and the World brings in guests from the surrounding community who share their own stories of faith and spiritual perspectives on the world. Topics cover the entire map, from living as a Muslim in the heart of the Bible Belt to the importance of forgiveness for spiritual health and growth.
